Come spend the summer as a part of a team responsible for creating a best-in-class consumer experience that drives sales growth in a fast-paced and agile environment.  The Shurtape Ecommerce Sales intern will take on meaningful work assignments to help accelerate sales on our retailers’ websites.  Our intern will work closely with our Ecommerce Account Managers to monitor and maintain online product listings, product detail pages and product presentation across multiple retailer websites and track market and competitor activity. 

 

Our intern will also be tasked with analyzing different data sets to curate data-driven insights that accelerate our marketing and sales initiatives. This role will also provide an opportunity for cross-functional department exposure as the Ecommerce Sales team works closely with many departments like product marketing, digital marketing, and operations.

Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists Account Managers in analysis, maintenance, and execution of projects to increase conversion and sales on our retailers’ websites like Amazon
  • Supports Account Managers with day-to-day tasks like item setup, catalog maintenance, business reporting and analysis, and reviewing product detail pages
  • Provide support in creating and analyzing customer digital advertising and keyword SEO
  • Monitors market and competitor activity (product detail pages, promotions, advertising) across retailers’ websites
  • Assists the organization with planning and execution of the Avon Heritage Duck Tape Festival in June, including working during Festival weekend in various capacities

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • How to work cross functionally to organize and execute product initiatives
  • How to “shop” a product detail page and look ways to improve item buyability
  • How to review and optimize online content that engages consumers and increases conversion
  • How to plan, execute, and evaluate online item promotions
  • How to leverage advertising to drive business results
  • How to support large-scale events

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Current college student, with at least one year of college completed, preferably with a concentration in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field of study
  • Great communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, poised, resourceful, enthusiastic with a hunger and willingness to learn
  • Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in solving problems and completing tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Reliable transportation. Tasks may include possible retail store visits and other errands during the work day

  • Occasional standing, sitting, walking, and talking on the phone
